High Sierra Patrol Officers receive up to 40 Hours of comprehensive training in areas
including field operations, beat management, report writing and patrol procedures.
Additionally, our staff is provided with continuous in-service training which
includes FEMA mandated Incident Command System modules,
Community Emergency Response Team curriculum,
The Active Shooter course and
NFPA Life Safety Crowd Manager Certification.
Officers may work at any of our locations, Day or Swing shift.
All Officers report to work at the Carson City Office then commute
to any other assignment / location in our Patrol Vehicles.
Beat assignments range from on-site accounts such as
Homeowners Associations, Beach Patrol and
Park Rangers to distribution centers and hospitals.
In addition to on-site accounts, our Officers may be trained and
assigned to patrol a beat, responding to calls for service from any of our Service areas.
- HSP offers competitive wages, generally higher than the industry standard, depending on experience.
- Each Officer is evaluated and eligible for a merit increase after 90 days of Full-Time employment.
- Professional uniform and equipment provided.
Qualified applicants will have a clean criminal history / driving record, HS Diploma (GED)
and must undergo a thorough background investigation.
